Miss Ava is beyond excited for her first year of teaching at Fusion! She began dancing at the age of 5 and is now in her 13th year of dance, 10 of which have been here at FDC. Miss Ava has been a part of Fusion’s Performance team for the last 9 years , Production for the last 7 years, a dedicated part of the Assistant Teacher program for the last 6 years, and has been on the Westfield High School dance team for 2 years. She has trained in various styles of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz, acro, contemporary, lyrical, modern, and hip hop. Throughout her years of dance, she has danced at a 76ers basketball game, festivals, and has had the opportunity to learn from several talented individuals including Fikshun, Alex Wong, Jamal Simms, and Geo Hubela. She received several awards and scholarships, including scholarships to Broadway Dance Center in New York City, and an invitation to perform with Disney’s Lightning Elite Dance Team. When she is not at the studio, she loves taking drop in dance classes at NYC studios, spending time with friends and family, and working with kids at an art school in Scotch Plains. Ava is looking forward to an amazing year of dance and celebrating her senior year along with Fusion’s 20th anniversary!
